Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Beatin The Bookie LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the websites and tools we operate under the BTB Sports Intelligence and Rise Above EV brands (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Email address, when you sign in. We use a passwordless email code to verify you; we do not ask you to create a password.
- Access code, if you enter one to unlock a gated board.
- Payment information, if you subscribe. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing details (such as that a payment succeeded, the plan, and card brand/last four) but we do not collect or store full card numbers; Stripe handles card data directly.
- Messages you send us, for example support requests.
Information we collect automatically:
- Session and device data, such as a session token stored in a cookie to keep you signed in, a visitor identifier used to count usage, IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.
- Usage analytics, such as which tools and boards are opened, to understand and improve the Service.
Information from third parties:
- We ingest sports data (statistics, schedules, injury reports, salaries, odds) from third-party providers to power our tools. This is data about games and players, not about you.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, and secure the Service, and keep you signed in;
- verify eligibility and enforce our access rules (one account per person, access-code integrity);
- process subscriptions and billing through Stripe;
- respond to your requests and send you service messages (for example, a login code or, if you opt in, a picks email);
- understand usage and improve our tools;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues;
- comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your access, count visitors, and understand usage. Some cookies are essential to the Service; others help us measure and improve it. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may break sign-in or access.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only with:
- Service providers ("processors") that run the Service on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of the data. These currently include: Stripe (payments), Render (application hosting and our database), Resend (sending emails, such as sign-in codes and the daily picks email), and GitHub (code hosting and the automation that runs our data jobs). We do not use third-party analytics services; usage is measured with our own self-hosted event counts.
- Legal and safety recipients, when we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- A successor, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution needs. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed. Billing records may be retained longer to meet tax and financial obligations.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and deletion. You may request a copy of your personal information or ask us to delete it by contacting picks@beatinthebookie.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.
- Email preferences. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in the email or by contacting us. We may still send essential service messages, such as login codes and billing notices.
- State privacy rights. Depending on where you live (for example, California and other US states with privacy laws), you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or limit the use of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. To exercise these rights, contact picks@beatinthebookie.com.
- International users. The Service is operated in the United States and intended for US users. If you access it from elsewhere, you consent to processing in the US.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
